Appletreewick is our nearest village which is just over a mile away and 35mins walk. There are 2 pubs which serve meals.

Burnsall is 2 miles away and has a small shop, café and 2 hotels.

Bolton Abbey, you must visit  the priory and walk along the riverside and the nature trails in the picturesque Strid wood.

Skipton is 8 miles away and is our local market town.  With its traditional market stalls, historic castle and canal cruises it makes an ideal destination for a day out.

How to Find Us

• From the A59 at Bolton abbey take the B6160 sp Burnsall.
• Continue through Bolton Abbey under the arch and about 3 miles on you will reach Barden.
• Barden Tower – an old ruin – is on your right.
• Turn right now sp Appletreewick, down over the narrow bridge and 1 mile on, just on the bend turn right onto Howgill lane by the phone box. 2 minutes and you will be here.
