Can you afford to stay at home?

The New Inn is set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park with its dramatic peaks, delightful dales, rivers, waterfalls and caves. Built in 1776, the Inn is situated in the centre of the charming village of Clapham. It is well-placed for visitors to the Yorkshire Dales, and is a short drive to the Lake District.

Keith and Barbara Mannion and family have owned the New Inn since 1987. During this time they have lovingly and carefully refurbished it, blending old and new to retain the character of an eighteenth century coaching inn. At the New Inn you will experience a warm and friendly Yorkshire welcome.

The New Inn has superb accommodation, all bedrooms having full central heating, their own bathrooms, colour televisions, telephones, hair dryers, tea and coffee trays and ample writing space all designed to make your stay a relaxing one.

Excellent facilities include a Residents' Lounge situated on the first floor, quality restaurant and two bars. Enjoy an evening of good food accompanied by choice wines in the Dalesman Restaurant, making your choice from the a la carte or table d'hote menus, or choose from the extensive bar menu.

The New Inn Hotel is a true Free House, where a variety of hand-pulled beers may be sampled in front of the open fires in either bar. Traditional pub games of darts and dominoes can also be enjoyed.

The village of Clapham is set in a geological wonderland of limestone, nestling beneath Ingleborough, one of the highest mountains in England.
