Visitors may observe the various processes involved
in the manufacture of candles including traditional dipping
techniques and casting methods. The building housing the workshop
was a 19th century water mill - the water wheel still exists and
mills have been recorded on this site since 1203. We are founder members of the
Swaledale and Wensleydale Art & Crafts Trail.

You are welcome to watch us making candles from bees wax and
paraffin wax. We use a variety of traditional and modern methods
using unusual and interesting equipment designed and made by Mick.
We supply candles by mail order within the UK.
Our candles come in many sizes, colours, shapes and perfumes.
Diameters range from ½" to 3" and lengths from 2" to
4ft. Our perfumed candles are very popular - they burn hollow and last
between 40 and 80 hours, according to their size and perfume.
They really do scent a room.
Our candles are suitable for the dinner table, Church, flower arranging
or presents. All are beautiful but they have been designed to be used and
will burn a long time with a clear, bright light.
We also stock the latest designs of flower rings and a comprehensive
range of candle holders in glass, wood, metal, brass and pottery.
These include unusual hand-forged iron holders from Scotland and metal holders made in Yorkshire.
All our candles are made using carefully refined
Beeswax, Paraffin Wax and Stearine and the latest Patent
Cambaceres plaited wicks and
CONTAIN NO TALLOW.
VISITORS ARE ESPECIALLY ADVISED TO TRY OUR NOTED SCENTED CANDLES.
