Arklehurst Cottage

Arklehurst is a traditional stone built 17th century cottage offering exceptionally warm, cosy and welcoming accommodation for up to four people.

Being the owners' own holiday home the cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest possible standard with many ornaments and pictures ensuring that it is a real home from home. It is meticulously cleaned and maintained at all times.

To help keep Arklehurst in peak condition for everyone's enjoyment we regret that neither pets nor smoking are permitted in the cottage.

Please note weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday.

The accommodation and facilities comprise:

• Roomy dining kitchen with pine dining table, chairs and dresser, and fitted kitchen with electric fan oven, hob and cooker hood, fridge/freezer, microwave and slow cooker. Whilst providing all modern conveniences the focal point of the kitchen remains the beautiful original range - a wonderful reminder of the true history of the cottage.
• Lounge with coal burning stove set in a period stone fireplace. SKY Freesat digital television, DVD, a stereo hi-fi and CD player are all provided for your enjoyment at no extra cost
• Two comfortable bedrooms, a double and a twin, both offering views over nearby hills and meadows
• Completely refurbished (2008) shower room with heated towel rail and shaver point.
• Heating is by storage heaters in the kitchen and double bedroom, wood/coal burning stove in the lounge, elecric heater in the twin room and heated towel/radiator in the bathroom.
