Our village of Langthwaite Langthwaite is situated amidst the stunning scenery of unspoiled Arkengarthdale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, making it an ideal centre for walking, cycling, mountain biking, touring the Northern Dales or simply relaxing.
It is the picture postcard village of the Dales and has been the setting for many television programmes and films including All Creatures Great and Small and A Woman of Substance. Though only a small village with about 20 residents it is home to the famous Red Lion pub which offers good bar meals and CAMRA ales. Just a short walk up the road is the well known CB Inn which serves some of the best food in the area. |
