Hampsthwaite is situated 5 miles from Harrogate with an hourly bus service to the town centre.  The famous Valley Gardens are just three miles away. Brimham Rocks is approximately six miles away. Lightwater Valley theme park is in Ripon approximately 7 miles from Hampsthwaite.

Leeds and York are easily accessed by car, bus or train 17 miles and 23 miles away respectively.

Hampsthwaite is a gateway to the dales with many enjoyable walks.  Fountains Abbey and Bolton Abbey are each within 10 miles.
