	North Yorkshire Moors Railway The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is the most popular heritage railway in Britain. Steam trains take visitors through 18 miles of stunning countryside and National Park. NYMR runs between Pickering and Grosmont and is one of the world's oldest rail lines. Trains also call at the picturesque stations of Levisham and Goathland (Aidensfield in "Heartbeat" and Hogsmeade in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).
	Castle Howard Magnificant 18th Century house with extensive collections and 1,000 acres of famous gardens & park. Attractions exhibitions, historical costumed characters, adventure playground, boat trips and family-friendly events programme. Plus choice of shops and cafes including; plant centre, farm shop and chocolate shop.
	Flamingo Land "Wild Animals, Wilder Rides." Flamingo Land is the UK's only Theme Park and Zoo, and is one of the UK's leading tourist attractions.
	Whitby Once of the most attractive ports in Britain, Whitby's busy events schedule makes it a popular destination all year round. Attractions include the amusement arcades, Captain Cook Museum and Whitby Abbey.
	Helmsley The pretty market town of Helmsley is well worth a visit. Attractions include Helmsley Castle, Duncombe Park and Helmsley Walled Garden.
	York A visit to North Yorkshire would not be complete without a trip to the North's spiritual capital. Must see attractions include York Minster, JORVIK Viking Centre, the Railway Museum, York Dungeons and Clifford's Tower, not to mention the new Big Wheel. York also boasts fantastic shopping by day and a busy night scene in the evening.
	Nunnington Hall A mellow 17th century manor house surrounded by a sheltered, walled garden on the banks of the River Rye, stocked with scented borders, spring flowering meadows, fruit orchards and peacocks. 	Goathland (Heartbeat Country) Goathland village has become famous in recent years by being the main setting for the popular television series "Heartbeat". Also make time for a short walk to the imposing 70ft high Malyan Spout waterfall just outside the village.
	Rievaulx Abbey Explore the dramatic and extensive remains of one of the most powerful monasteries in Europe. It was once home to the greatest spiritural writer of the Medieval Ages, St aelred, who described it as 'everywhere peace, everywhere serenity'. A special exhibition examines the commercial activities of the monks and shows how religion blended with business.
