The Old School Bunkhouse is adjacent to a working farm and has
a central location for fell and valley walks and attraction, such
as the Herriot Way, Aysgarth Falls (1.5 miles), Bolton Castle (3
miles), Wharfedale, Wensleydale and Swaledale.
Nearby historic market towns include Hawes (home of Wensleydale
Cheese), Richmond and Leyburn. The bunkhouse has been recently
refurnished to a high standard, with a large, attractive open-plan
lounge and dining area, a modern kitchen, washing and drying room. |

The Old Bunkhouse is a self-catering bunkhouse with full central
heating. There is a well equipped kitchen with a microwave, a fridge,
a freezer & dishwasher. All cooking utensils are provided.
The Street Head Inn, owned by the same proprietors, lies 150 metres
away & provides a warm welcome and a varied lunch and evening
menu. Breakfast can be provided (by prior arrangement) and
served at the inn.
Superb en-suite bedrooms are available at the Street
Head Inn for those in a group not requiring bunkhouse type
accommodation. |

Accommodation for 20 people in 4 rooms

We have 20 beds available in 3 rooms with 4 beds and 1 room
with 8. All bedding is provided but you will have to bring your
own towel and wash kit.
The bunkhouse has a common room with comfortable seating & ample
dining seats for 20 people. There is a TV provided in the dining/common
room, with books, cards and board games for the evenings. This
large welcoming room is the ideal meeting point for groups and
individuals staying at the bunkhouse.
Other facilities include a drying room, cycle store, barbeque,
laundry services, lockers, luggage store, and family rooms. There
is ample parking available. |

Tariff 2008
Individual night: £13.50 per person
Sole-usage: It is usually possible for larger groups to organise sole-use bookings
of the bunkhouse at exclusive rates:
1 night: £260; 2 nights: £440; subsequent nights
at £200 per night.
For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere
in the bunkhouse. The bunkhouse is open all year round |
