Ampleforth makes
a great holiday centre, being set in glorious countryside within
the North York Moors National Park, yet convenient for the City
of York and the Yorkshire coast.
Five timber
built cabins, as designed for the Forestry Commission, are set in
a hillside orchard on a 10 acre smallholding located half a mile
from the village of Ampleforth. They provide self catering holiday
accommodation in superb surroundings.

Accommodation
The cabins are architect designed to accommodate up to 5 people.
They are comfortably furnished and equipped with all modern amenities
including electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, electric space
heater, water heater and colour TV with VCR. An electric toaster,
all crockery and cutlery are also provided.
Tea towels, dusters and washing up liquid are provided.
Entrance
into main living area with lounge, dining and kitchen areas. A large
French window leads out onto a timber terrace with seating. There
are two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 3
full size bunk beds. There is a shower room with a shower, toilet

- Electricity
is included in the tariff with the exception of the Electric Space
Heater which is connected to a £1 meter.
- Duvet
covers, sheets and pillow cases are provided but guests are expected
to bring their own towels.
- Outdoor
table tennis and barbeque.
- Baby cots are available.
- There
is adequate car parking space.
There is a
village
shop (open 6am-9pm) selling groceries, newspapers and videos
in
Ampleforth village, there are two pubs serving good value
country food and a Post Office at nearby Ampleforth College.
Pets are welcome
provided they are kept on a lead and not left unattended in the
chalet. |
