A
Yorkshire welcome awaits at our 200 year old red brick farmhouse bed
and breakfast on our working farm in lovely Yorkshire countryside 7
miles east of the historic city of York.
At the farm you can watch the
daily farming activities including the cattle being fed. You can also
bird watch from the breakfast table as our garden is very popular with
the local bird life.
The
accommodation comprises 3 bedrooms: one en-suite
double room, another double and one twin room. All are attractively
decorated. There is a separate oak dining room and split level lounge
with TV and good collection of board games.
We offer a full farmhouse English breakfast or a choice of food
according to your preference.
From
your base at Cuckoo Nest farm you can visit York with its many
attractions including York Minster, the City Walls and the Yorvik Viking
Centre. There is a 'park and ride' about 10 minutes away if you don't
want to take the car into the city.
As well as York, the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the
Yorkshire coast are all within easy driving distance.
There
are some good country pubs nearby, and the attractions of Castle Howard,
Burton Constable with its wonderful gardens and the Rocking Horse shop
at Fang Foss are all worth a visit.
Our farm has good access from the A1
and M62 and lies on the A1079 Hull road between the villages of Kexby
and Wilberfoss.
We are open all year. Bed and breakfast
is between £25 and £36 per person per night.
