A traditional cottage with all the modern comforts required for a comfortable and relaxing holiday or a get-away for a couple of nights. The cottage has a very sunny rear garden and private parking for one car.
Within walking distance there are two pubs serving food and real ale, a village store with post office and a library in the village hall with free internet access. There are plenty of country walks from the village. Embsay is a great base for walkers and those touring by car. The Yorkshire Dales National Park, Harrogate, York and Bronte Country are within easy reach and the Lake District and both coasts make a pleasant day out. Sheep Day, Medieval Festival, Theatre in the Mart, Canal Cruises, Cinema, RHS Harlow Carr, Settle-Carlisle Railway, Yorkshire Dales Steam Railway Broughton Game Show, Waterways Festival and the Boundary Mill Retail Outlet are just a few of the many things to see and do whatever the weather. Skipton is two miles away with a regular bus service from just outside the cottage and is a lovely market town, recently winning the Best High Street in Britain Award. It has a popular street market four times a week and a number of restaurants and cosy tea shops.
Skipton Castle is a well preserved medieval castle and is well worth a visit at any season of the year. The Leeds Liverpool canal runs through Skipton offering picturesque canal boats and miles of canal-side walks |
