Welcome to Grange House Walden, a little known dale in the heart of Wensleydale, extends some 4 miles from the unspoilt village of West Burton. Here at Walden Head, almost where the road ends and gives way to the lower reaches of Buckden Pike, you will find Grange House. Grange House is a former farmhouse, built around 1890 and has a small attached annexe, occupied by the owners. It stands in 3 acres of pasture, which is home to our pet sheep, pygmy goats and ranging hens (the freshest of free range eggs are usually available).
The accommodation is light and spacious, comfortably arranged on two floors, and sleeps a maximum of 7 people in four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Ground Floor Large entrance hall with shower room containing w.c. and basin, shower and fitted bathroom furniture.- Farmhouse kitchen with oil fired Aga, built-in electric cooker and grill, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and TV.

Local Facilities Grange House lies approx. 4 miles from the lovely village of West Burton, which has a well stocked Village Store/Post Office, a butchers shop and public house. Pub meals are available locally and in nearby villages of Aysgarth, Thoralby and West Witton. A bus service to Leyburn and to outlying villages operates daily. |
