Hilltop Lodge
dates from the late 18th century. It is 1½ miles from
the road which passes over the top of the moor between the
villages of Askrigg and Muker. Hilltop Lodge is said to be
the highest residence in the Yorkshire Dales, with 360 degree
views over the moors.
