Welcome to Horseshoe Cottage Horseshoe Cottage is a delightful 18th Century stone built cottage,  situated on a very quiet lane in this small Dales village, nestling under the slopes of Buckden Pike.The cottage which is south facing enjoys open fell views in magnificent walking and cycling country, just a few minutes walk from the River Wharfe. Starbotton is a traditional Dales village which lies in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, yet just 16 miles north of the market town of Skipton. A visit to the historic spa town of Harrogate and a trip to Betty's for tea is not to be missed.  Grassington and Hawes are closer still, with the bustling villages of Buckden and Kettlewell being just 2 miles north and south respectively.
Starbotton has its own traditional Dales Inn serving excellent ales and delicious home-cooked food.The village is a perfect centre for walking, cycling, fishing, potholing, pony trekking and other outdoor activities or simply as a base for exploring this magnificent county. |
