About Intake Farmhouse Location of IntakeKirkby Malzeard is a village set in the in the middle of farming countryside, approximately 5 miles from Ripon. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Ambience Intake is situated at the bottom of a private drive and is set in the middle of fields where you can hear and see curlews.
For those that like peace this is an ideal spot and yet it is only half a mile to the village of Kirkby Malzeard which has a first class butcher which sells local cheeses and vegetables, a village store which sells newspapers and has a licence, a post office and a pub. There is a parish church and also a Methodist chapel.
Accommodation Intake is a farmhouse, believed to date from the 18th century, recently renovated to a high standard.
Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one room which has two twin beds with another two available which makes it ideal for children. There are two bathrooms (one en-suite), and downstairs there is a further toilet and shower. Downstairs there is a big sitting-room with an open fire with a small study off it, a large kitchen with an eating area, utility room and a further sitting room with a sofa bed for occasional use.There is also a self-contained annex built over a shelter for cows with a sitting room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Outside there is a paved area facing south and the whole property is fenced and walled.

- Central heating is provided by an oil-fired Stanley cooker which keeps the kitchen beautifully warm.
- There is also an electric cooker and a microwave oven.
- There is a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, clothes washer and dryer.

- Linen and towels are provided.
Activities Kirkby Malzeard is a village on the edge of open moorland and there are many lovely walks. It is close to Ripon with its famous Minster as well as Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal and Brimham Rocks. Masham, with its weekly market and famous Black Sheep Brewery is also close by. Lightwater Valley with all its attractions for children is within 8 miles.
For shopping or antiques, Harrogate is only 20 miles distant. Golf and horse riding are both within reasonable distance.
