Knabbs
Ash is a smallholding registered with the Farm Holiday Bureau and situated
at Felliscliffe in Nidderdale countryside six miles west of the floral
Spa town of Harrogate.
Knabbs Ash is an ideal base for
many places of interest. Whether you like to just relax or
prefer the splendid walks available in the gently rolling valley you
can be assured there will be plenty to see and do.
Accommodation
One
twin and two double bedrooms are offered to guests, each with private
bath/shower room, colour TV, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities.
Guests have their own private
sitting room with colour TV and fire for the winter. There is a private dining room
with separate tables. It is an ideal setting in which to relax and
unwind.
All rooms are tastefully
decorated and have central heating.
Places of Interest
Nidderdale has much to interest the visitor. Nearby is Pateley
Bridge - Nidderdale's historic "Capital" town.
Brimham Rocks, with its fascinating strange rock formations is a
must for any aspiring photographers. Walks around Brimham Rocks are
plentiful and a National Trust Office is available on site for
information.
Howstean Gorge is a naturally formed river gorge, with entrance to
a cave walk and sightseeing gallery. There is also an excellent
Restaurant with ample car parking.
Over the moors behind Middlesmoor is to be found Scar House
Reservoir. For the Ramblers and Hill Walkers this is a splendid walk
with breathtaking views culminating in a birds eye view of Scar House
Reservoir.
Knabbs
Ash is in the middle of the picturesque televised Emmerdale &
Heartbeat country with nearby market towns featuring as regular film
locations.
Harrogate, just six miles away,
is a charming Victorian spa town famous for its floral beauty and its
unique "Stray"- 200 acres of grassland that virtually
encircles the town centre. Visit the Royal Pump Room Museum, Royal
Baths, Assembly Rooms, Harlow Carr Botanic Gardens
and enjoy afternoon tea in Betty's.
The cathedral cities of Ripon and York together with a wealth of
historic houses, castles and abbeys are within easy driving distance.
