Linden Guest House Lindon House is a friendly, family-run non-smoking guest house which has been converted from an old barn and is set in the beautiful Dales National Park at Airton in Malhamdale. The house has beautiful panoramic limestone views and is ideal for touring and walking. It is just a few yards from the Pennine Way and the River Aire.

Airton is an old Quaker village, situated 2 miles from the dales centre of Malham, with its famous 300ft high Malham cove, from which bubbles the infant River Aire. Gordale Scar, Janet's Foss waterfalls and Malham Tarn nature reserve are all nearby. The ancient market towns of settle, with its famous Settle-Carlisle railway, and Skipton, with its castle and canal, are 6 miles and 8 miles respectively. Also within a few miles is Bolton Abbey, with its romantic ruins of the 12th century Augustinian priory, and the estate contains 30 miles of footpaths through spectacular riverside, wooded and open moorland scenery.

Very comfortable accommodationSlightly longer journeys may be made to the hauntingly lovely Fountains abbey, near Ripon, one of the most outstanding Cistercian monastic ruins in existence; York, with its majestic minster, Yorvik Viking Centre, and numerous other attractions of international repute; Harrogate; Herriot and the Bronte country - the list is endless. On the west coast are Blackpool and Morecambe with their outstanding sea-side facilities.

There are steam railways at Haworth, Embsay, Carnforth and Haverthwaite in the Lake District - itself an area of majestic beauty.

Traditional open fireThe accomodation is very comfortable, with full central heating throughout, yet retains all its character with oak beams. There is a colour TV in the large lounge, an open fire and separate dining room.
