Airton is an old Quaker village, situated 2 miles from the dales centre of Malham, with its famous 300ft high Malham cove, from which bubbles the infant River Aire. Gordale Scar, Janet's Foss waterfalls and Malham Tarn nature reserve are all nearby. The ancient market towns of settle, with its famous Settle-Carlisle railway, and Skipton, with its castle and canal, are 6 miles and 8 miles respectively. Also within a few miles is Bolton Abbey, with its romantic ruins of the 12th century Augustinian priory, and the estate contains 30 miles of footpaths through spectacular riverside, wooded and open moorland scenery.
There are steam railways at Haworth, Embsay, Carnforth and Haverthwaite in the Lake District - itself an area of majestic beauty.
There are 2 double rooms and one twin room. All three bedrooms have shower, toilet and basins with TV. All rooms have shaver points, hair dryers and tea and coffee making facilities.
Packed lunches are available on request. Lindon Guest House is easily located being situated on the Malham road on the left hand side after going through the village of Airton. Lindon Guest House is a non-smoking guest house.
