Lock House B&B is a comfortable canal side house situated on the outskirts of the rural town of Boroughbridge. The house has two rooms, one double room with an en-suite shower room, and one twin room with a private bathroom. Both rooms offer digital TV, radio and refreshment trays with a kettle, drinks and snacks. Additional guests and young children can also be accommodated by prior arrangement. Breakfast offers a whole choice of locally produced and wholesome foods and most diets can be catered for. Boroughbridge has a wide choice of pubs and eating establishments, all offering excellent lunches and evening meals, all within walking distance of the house. For those with more time to spend in the immediate area, there are several guided walks enabling visitors to enjoy the local river and beautiful countryside. Alburgh, with its museum and Roman remains, is within easy walking distance and Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall, Ripon, Harrogate and York are all a short drive away. |
