Low Raisgill Cottage Take a relaxing 'get away from it all' break in unspoilt Langstrothdale (Upper Wharfedale). Raisgill is on the outskirts of Hubberholme the tiny hamlet where there is St Michaels and All Angels church, famous for it's "rood loft", mouse man pews and magnificent Norman tower. The George Inn at Hubberholme provides excellent food. Raisgill is an old dales longhouse built around 1620, retaining many original features. It is within easy reach of the Lakes, Ripon & Harrogate and the interesting market town of Skipton.
Bed & Breakfast accomodation • En-suite accommodation with television, hair dryer and beverage facilities • Private residents lounge and dining room with use of large garden • Drying facilities, packed lunches and light snacks are available. • A full English or continental style breakfast is served using only the best produce, local sausage, our own free range eggs and home-made preserves. Once hunted by the Dukes of Northumberland, Langstrothdale Chase still has some deer, and it is rich in archaeological remains. Being in the centre of the national park, Raisgill is ideal for walking or touring. Walkers can enjoy short walks along the infant river wharfe on the dalesway path, hike up Buckden Pike or over the dale into Littondale, to name but a few of the many walks from our doorstep. During the spring there are many species of unusual wild flowers on the fells and in summer the meadows are spectacular. We regret that dogs are not allowed.
