The town of Settle, the gateway to the Three Peaks district, and the spa town of Harrogate are a short drive, and the historic towns of Hawes and Leyburn are a little further.

There are many surrounding villages that offer a range of shops, inns and award winning restaurants to suit every taste. 

The medieval walled city of York, the Lake District and the North Yorkshire moors are within travelling distance for a day trip. 

The Old Barn offers great road, rail and air links being less than an hour away from the M1 and M6 and having a direct rail service to Leeds and on to London.
