Maypole Inn
A Seventeenth-Century Inn on the village green of Long Preston in the Yorkshire Dales

In 1695, Ambrose Wigglesworth opened the doors to his first customers. Three hundred years later, we continue the tradition of offering hospitality and a warm welcome in this seventeenth century inn situated beside the Maypole Green in the picturesque Dales village of Long Preston.

Six bedrooms provide comfortable, well furnished accommodation. Each room has a private bathroom, television and tea/coffee making facilities.

The rooms vary in size and can accommodate everyone from single guests to family groups. There is a separate sitting room for guests and ample off-road parking. Dogs are also welcome at a charge of £6 per stay.

Long Preston lies the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is an ideal centre for walking or touring holidays: open moorland, the hill slopes of the Pennines, caves and waterfalls are all within easy reach of the village. Long Preston is near to the thriving market town of Settle, Skipton and Kirkby Lonsdale, and less than an hours drive from the Lake District and the forest of Bowland. It is a village that offers access to the heart of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.

Sporting and leisure activities are catered for locally including walking, pony trekking, mountain climbing, cycling, pot holing, fishing and golf.
