Pemba cottage sleeps 3 and is an attractive, pet friendly cottage located in the old part of Threshfield, just outside of Grassington in picturesque Upper Wharfedale, Yorkshire Dales. This is ‘Calendar Girl' country and the cottage is attached to the house where all the original photos were taken by the owners Terry and Lynda Logan for the "Alternative WI Calendar" that was made into the film and stageshow "Calendar Girls". |
Pemba cottage is quietly situated just off Threshfield's village green and near the village pub with good food. The bustling Dales village of Grassington is only a short walk away. There are a wealth of things to see and do. Close by are the delightful Dales villages of Kettlewell, Burnsall, Arncliffe, Litton and Kilnsey with its famous Crag for rockclimbing, Trout Farm for fishing and Horse Trekking Centre. The market town of Skipton with medieval castle is 7 miles away and close by are the Bolton Abbey Estate and Malham with its famous Malham Cove and Malham Tarn. The cottage makes a good base for climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and exploring Yorkshire Bronte Country.
Pemba Cottage accommodation has recently been completely refurbished to a high standard and provides a comfortable lounge with Freeview TV and DVD, fully equipped kitchen, a double and a single bedroom to accommodate couples or singles holidays. There is a full bathroom with shower/bath and heated towel rail. Electricity and heating is included in the price and there is off street parking for one car. Short breaks are available and a well behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost. |
