To the north is Swaledale, to the south, Coverdale, but Wensleydale is perhaps the best known of the Yorkshire Dales and the hotel is ideally positioned for touring and walking or simply enjoying the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Great days out from the Rose and Crown include the Dales village of Hawes with its Wensleydale Creamery, Rope Makers, Dales Museum and Gayle Mill, Masham with Black Sheep Brewery, the Swaledale village of Reeth and Richmond with its castle and Georgian Theatre. There is plenty to keep outdoor enthusiasts happy with walking, fishing cycling
and horse riding all on the doorstep.
The Rose and Crown Hotel has 10 en suite rooms and one single. 3 rooms have four-poster beds and a further 3 offer a double and single bed which can be used either as a twin or family rooms. One room has three beds and can accommodate a family of four or three adults. All rooms have beautiful views and come with colour tv, radio, tea and coffee facilities and hair dryers. There are open log fires in winter and full central heating. The Rose and Crown has a reputation for quality food and good service using only fresh, local ingredients prepared by expert chefs. Enjoy a meal in the bars, where you can enjoy the local atmosphere or a more formal meal in the Dales Room restaurant, overlooking the village green. |
