There are numerous activities that can be found in the Yorkshire Dales, including many walks, hikes and treks to suit the ability of everyone. Malham with its Cove and Tarn are close by and the Yorkshire Three Peaks are easily reached for a day's challenge! The Pennine Way, Dales Way and Airedale Way all pass near by as do some delightful routes for cycling, motor biking and touring. A short drive away are the delightful Dales villages of Grassington, Kettlewell, Burnsall, Arncliffe and Kilnsey. The market town of Skipton with medieval castle is 40 minutes drive away and close by are the Bolton Abbey Estate and National Trust sites of Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal and Riddlesden Hall. The Bronte Country and Haworth make an excellent day out, as does the World Heritage Site of Saltaire.
Rowan Cottage Accommodation has been extensively refurbished in 2012. There is a double and twin bedroom with new carpets, bedroom furniture and soft furnishings. There is a fully equipped dining/kitchen and a comfortable lounge with new TV and DVD. Both have been fully redecorated and carpeted. There is a double bed-settee in the lounge to sleep a further 2 people. Electric heating, bed linen and towels included in the Cottage price. Pets are most welcome at Rowan Cottages. Outside there is a sunny garden with garden and patio area with garden furniture and it is all for the sole use of Rowan Cottage guests. |
