Tucked away in a quiet lane in Buckden, Upper Wharfedale, behind the village store, 50 yards from the famous Buck Inn, you will find a large, traditional stone built, dales holiday home, filled with all the comforts of home – Rowan Cottage.

It offers you a superbly appointed, comfortable base from which to explore a very stunning and beautiful area, far from the stresses of everyday living.

Accommodating up to six people, Rowan Cottage was refurbished in January 2012 with new carpets, curtains, TV and DVD player, new light fittings and bedroom funriture.

The pleasant comfortable sitting room has modern furniture, quaint window seats, a tv, selection of books, games and a welcoming multifuel stove. There is access through the rear door directly onto the patio and into the large, well kept, lawned garden. The garden is private and exclusively for your use.

Here you can let the children play safely, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, a barbecue, a few beers, or relax in the sun while you appreciate the wildlife, the landscape and the beauty of the surrounding hills and fells.

If you just want that extra cosy feeling, there is a lovely log and coal burning stove in the sitting room. Perfect to come home to after a good days walking or sightseeing.

The cottage has recently had its double glazing upgraded. For the 5th year running Rowan Cottage has been awarded the Visit Britain Three Star Award for self catering.

Rowan Cottage has 2 large upstairs bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 has been redecorated, has new curtains and carpets and now has 2 single beds, new wardrobes, drawers and bedside tables.
Bedroom 2 has been redecorated, has a pine double bed, new curtains, carpets, wardrobes and bedside tables.

There is a 'Zed' bed that can be used wherever you wish and the downstairs sitting room has a comfortable bed settee that can sleep two more.

All rooms have electric storage heaters and the cost of electricity is included in the price. Bed linen to suit your needs can be provided for a nominal fee.

Buckden

You will find that Buckden is an ideal centre for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

There are numerous activities that can be found locally, including fishing, Hot air ballooning, pony trekking, pot holing, rock climbing, swimming and of course numerous walks, hikes and treks to suit the ability of everyone.

Pets are most welcome at Rowan Cottages.
