Rowan Cottages are two family run old stone built cottages in Buckden, Upper Wharfedale.
They are situated off the road, behind the general store. The Buck Inn is nearby, serving excellent meals, and there are delightful walks for all grades of walker; from a stroll along the banks of the Wharfe to Hubberholme - with its 12th century church - to a stiff climb up Buckden Pike. The Three Peaks Walk starts nearby.

Other activities in the area include fishing, hang-gliding, pony trekking, pot holing or hot air ballooning.

Both cottages have been sympathetically converted with a high standard of fittings and decor with carpeting throughout. There are storage heaters in every room and a log burning stove in the sitting room that gives a cosy atmosphere. TV is provided.

Each cottage has a new, modern, tiled bathroom with power shower over a bath.

The oak fitted kitchens are equipped with fridge, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave and a freezer in the larger cottage.

In the larger cottage there are 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with 3 singles.
There is also room for a cot or spare bed in here and there is a bed-settee in the separate sitting room.

There is room for 7 at the table in the dining area off the kitchen.

In the smaller cottage there are 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with 2 single bunk beds. There is a combined kitchen, dining and sitting room.

Bed-linen is available on request for £4.00 per person per week. Duvets and pillows are provided. Electricity is included in the cost and bags of coalite and logs are available at £6.00.

At the rear of the cottages is a patio and garden area, which is for use by both cottages. The larger one has a door onto the patio.

There is parking space for cars at the side and front of the cottages.

Pets are most welcome at Rowan Cottages.
