Proprietor: Pat Clowes
Whatever your interests, whether walking or climbing,
cycling or fishing, golf, or simply touring the Dales and Lakes enjoying the magnificent scenery, you will be wonderfully placed when taking a holiday break in Ingleton.
Built in 1891 out of local stone, Springfield Guest House has been owned for
the past 40 years by Jack & Kathleen Thornton and their daughter Pat
Clowes. Pat Clowes continues to offer a warm welcome to this 4 star Country Guest House with mature gardens running down to the river Greta.
It is a detached Victorian villa with a fountain and small conservatory at the front and a panoramic view to the rear.
The Guest House has been in operation for over 50 years and is situated some 100 yards from the A65(T) road which runs from Skipton to Kendal and is on the western fringe of the village of
Ingleton.
It is an ideal base for walking and touring in the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Forest of Bowland and North Lancashire
coast all of which are within 40 miles of Ingleton.
The greeness of the limestone country of the Yorkshire Dales contrasts with the granite of the Lakes and moorland scenery of the Bowland country whichever direction you take.
The
residents' lounge is furnished and decorated in keeping with its
Victorian image, the plaster rosette on the ceiling is picked out in
gold leaf, fawn and white. The dado surrounding the room is in a
design picked out in gold leaf, the original wood fireplace is made of
various woods and is a fine example of Victorian joinery. It is reputed
that this was specially made for the house by the famous joinery firm,
Gillow's of Lancaster.

Bedrooms
all have en-suite facilities (showers and toilets) and there are three
doubles, one twin and one family room.
All bedrooms have colour
television and tea and coffee making facilities. All bedrooms are on the
first floor of the guest house.

All services are under the direct supervision of the proprietor who
will do all in her power to make your stay at Springfield Guest House
both a happy and comfortable one.
The Guest House serves traditional English breakfasts and continental breakfasts.
