This 17th century inn has greeted travellers for nearly three hundred years and its friendly tradition continues today.

A superb Yorkshire Dales location in Wensleydale

Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales the Street Head Inn is surrounded by the stunning scenery of Bishopdale. It is close to the village of West Burton in Upper Wensleydale.

Street Head Inn is the perfect base for exploring historic Wensleydale and The Yorkshire Dales National Park, both touring and walking. It is a short distance to Bolton Castle and the many attractions in Leyburn and Hawes, with Wharfedale nearby.

En-suite Accommodation at the Street Head Inn

We offer five inviting and well appointed bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and panoramic views over Bishopdale. Each room is decorated and furnished to high standards, with king size beds, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, clock radio and hair dryer.

Our cosy bar serves fine cask conditioned ales including two local brewers, Black Sheep and Theakstons, together with a good selection of lagers, wines and other drinks.

During your stay you will have the opportunity to select meals from our lunch and evening menus. These offer a comprehensive range of meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian dishes to suit all tastes. Our food is well renowned with both locals and tourists alike.

The Street Head Inn is situated 2 miles from West Burton on the B6160, heading towards Kettlewell in Wharfedale. It is a short distance from the A684 Leyburn to Hawes road through Wensleydale.
