The Area

View from moors above HaworthThis attractive country cottage is situated right in the heart of Bronte country.

Though close to the centre of the village of Haworth, Sun Street is away from the busy main street, while still being able to offer facilities such as a bakery, greengrocer, butcher, late night grocery and fish and chip shop.

Haworth, Bronte CountryThe village has a range of public houses, tea rooms and restaurants, all offering their own variety of local fare.

Haworth is a suitable centre for walking or touring and has a well equipped Tourist Information Centre with helpful staff.

Local Attractions

Worth Valley RailwayHaworth Parsonage and Museum, Haworth Church, Top Withens (Wuthering Heights), Wycoller Hall (Thrushcross Grange), Worth Valley Steam Railway and settings from The Railway Children.

A short distance away are the towns and villages of Skipton ("Gateway to the Dales"), Grassington, Bolton Abbey and the spa town of Harrogate.

Entertainment

Theatres within easy reach of Haworth are the Alhambra in Bradford, the Grand in Leeds and the Royal in York, and there are, of course, numerous cinemas, as well as The National Museum of Photography in Bradford.

Your host, Barbara Barwick-Nicholson is a Yorkshire Tourist Board registered Guide. She will be glad to organise walking tours, coach tours and chauffer guided tours of Yorkshire, including of Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales.

    The cottage is carpeted throughout and gas central heating is available if needed.
    All electricity and gas charges are included in the weekly price.
    There is a pleasant cottage garden and well behaved pets are welcome.
    Cot and High Chair available for children.
