The Barn is as the name implies, a converted barn situated on the A65 between Skipton and Settle. It was converted in 1985 by the host and family to a very high professional standard, tastefully decorated and maintained throughout.

Long Preston is a picturesque village, with two pubs, each within walking distance, where excellent food can be obtained.

The historic market town of Skipton is approx 11 miles away, where you can enjoy a canal boat trip, a visit to the famous Skipton Castle or just enjoy a leisurely stroll along the high street on the popular market days of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Settle is a small market town just 4 miles away famous for the Settle to Carlisle Railway.

Both Skipton and Settle offer very good shopping facilities along with fine resturants pubs and cafes.
 

For the more energetic visitor, there are many walking areas that can be taken visited such as The Three Peaks, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar.

If caving and potholing are your scene, there are many such features within a 30 minute drive.
