The Farthings is a charming Victorian family residence built in 1895. Each room has been individually decorated and furnished to match its character.
The English tourist council have rated us as a 4 star guest house. We offer the highest quality of bed and breakfast facilities in York. Our award winning bed and breakfast guest house is also recognised by the Yorkshire tourist board and the AA travel board.
Some rooms have en-suite shower and toilet and some are suitable for small families. All rooms are centrally heated with tea & coffee making facilities, satellite colour TV and clock radios.
To help you start your day there is a wide ranging menu of full English breakfast, fruit basket, yoghurts and croissants. Vegetarians catered for. |

Directions
From
the South: Approaching via the A64, take the second slip road
for YORK WEST (A1036). At the third set of traffic lights (not pedestrian
crossings) keep in right hand lane but proceed straight ahead. Arrows
now in lane for right turn into Scarcroft Road (fourth lights). We are
the second turning right off this road.
From the
North: Approaching via the A59, turn right immediately after
crossing the steel bridge. At the next traffic lights keep left and turn
left. Move into the right hand lane and follow hte lane arrows turning
right into Scarcroft Road. We are the second turning right off this road.
