High standards and a Yorkshire welcome await you at the OAST Guest House.

It is situated near to Settle town centre, within 10 minutes' easy walking of the railway station. Settle is an unspoilt old market town (its charter dates back to 1249) at the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and in the Ribble Valley. It is a natural and ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Yorkshire.

Our local knowledge together with their walking experience will help you make the most of your stay. In our guest lounge you can relax with tea, coffee and homemade cake and take advantage of our tourist information literature, including guides and local history. Maps of the area are provided for your use.

The Oast Guest House is a well maintained Edwardian house offering five bedrooms with either bathroom, shower and toilet, or shower. There are double, twin, and family rooms.

Each room has colour television, fresh fruit and mineral water.

Oast Guest House Dining Room

After a good full day's walking or touring, a two or three course evening meal is available, by prior arrangement. The food is home made to a high standard.

Pen-y-Ghent

Picture an area of dramatic peaks, limestone scars, quiet dales, waterfalls and caves - this area of the Yorkshire Dales is a place where life has a relaxed and unhurried pace, yet it offers a wide variety of attractions and activities.

Settle is surrounded by superb walking countryside and offers access to limestone scars, caves, waterfalls and strolls along the River Ribble.

The Three Peaks, (Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside), the Pennine Way, and the Ribble Way provide more challenging walking.

Another of our main attractions is the incomparable Settle to Carlisle Railway which offers the visitor a journey through some of the most dramatic scenery in the country.

Free guided walks, which start from the different stations along the line, are now available throughout the year.

The Oast Guest House has drying and ironing facilities, parking, and is open all-year-round. Interesting packed lunches are a speciality, and flasks are willingly filled. The Oast Guest House is non-smoking.
