The Old Rectory makes a great base for touring many Yorkshire attractions. The Yorkshire Coast makes a great day out with Scarborough, Flamingo Land, Whitby and its Abbey as well as Filey, Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes fishing village. Visit the Railway Museum, York minister, Jorvik Viking Centre and Fairfax House in York, Castle Howard, Dalby Forest, Eden Camp, North York Moors Railway, Bridestones Rocks and Rievaulx Abbey.

The Old Rectory Guest House
is a Grade II Listed 18th Century Georgian residence set in a large old English Country garden and offers superb value. There is a choice of double, family or four poster bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, colour TV and DVD players, as well as full English Breakfast. The rooms are spacious with comfortable chairs/settee. There is a guest lounge with real fire and car parking for guests. For outdoor activity days, there are drying facilities and storage for wet/dirty clothing and equipment, and secure storage for bicycles.
