The Old Star West Witton is a 17th century former coaching inn and is now a family run Guesthouse. Owners, Barbara and Barrie have enjoyed running The Old Star for over 20 years and are always happy to chat, suggest walks, cycle routes and places to eat and visit. West Witton has a shop, and two excellent pubs both of which can be recommended for good food and real ale.
The Old Star has seven bedrooms, all having central heating, a washbasin, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, colour TV and shaver sockets. Five rooms have en-suite bathrooms with WC, shower or bath. There is a log fire and exposed oak beams in the lounge, making a cosy retreat in winter. The dining room is full of character with oak beams and antique furniture and an excellent English Breakfast is served, using local produce with vegetarian and other options being always available. Pets and families are welcome. |
