On the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park,
Thorney Hall will be a delight to guests who appreciate a country
house experience. Secluded and tranquil, yet less than 2 miles
from the town of Leyburn, Thorney Hall offers a wonderful location
for a weekend break or the holiday maker needing a base from which
to explore `Herriott Country' and beyond.
Set in five acres of formal garden and woodland, with reputedly
`the finest view in all Yorkshire' Thorney Hall lies in the heart
of beautiful Wensleydale. With panoramic views on all sides of
the Wensleydale Valley, with the ancient town of Middleham beyond,
guests can enjoy breathtaking Dales countryside and the warmest
of welcomes.
Inside Thorney Hall
Leading from a grand entrance hall is the elegant dining room
furnished with beautiful antiques, offering the ideal setting for
the perfect meal. After dinner guests may relax in the hall on
sumptuous soft furnishings in front of a warming log fire.
Each of the bedrooms has been individually furnished. All offer
spectacular views over the valley of the River Ure or onto the
park or woodland. All rooms have en suite or private bathroom and
are equipped to the highest standard.
Dining at Thorney Hall
Thorney Hall is proud of the quality of its cooking. Using the
finest of Yorkshire's renowned produce, guests can enjoy an Aga
cooked full `Yorkshire Breakfast'. In the evening dine by candlelight
on the delicious traditional dishes of Yorkshire, all prepared
using local produce and where possible, organic ingredients.
Whatever your reason for a visit to the North Yorkshire Dales,
the relaxed atmosphere of Thorney Hall, combined with a high standard
of personal care and attention will ensure your stay is a most

Prices
£38 per person per night (single occupancy £65
per person per night) to include full Aga cooked Yorkshire breakfast.
Dinner per person is £35 for three
courses with bottle of wine and coffee.
