town of Richmond with its magnificent castle and famous market square.
The
house is placed at the entrance to the Yorkshire Dales National
Park with its beautiful hill and valley scenery and such historic
market towns of Bedale, Leyburn and Masham. It also provides a convenient
centre for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and adjoining coastline
around Whitby, Teesdale and High Force, and the cities of Durham
and Newcastle to the north.
As
well as for longer stays, it is perfectly located to break your
journey when traveling to or from Scotland or the Lake District
being ½ mile from Scotch Corner.
Set
in ¾ acre of woodland gardens, which guests are very welcome
to use, and with stunning views across the rolling countryside,we
offer comfortable accommodation in attractively furnished rooms
with tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV and central heating.
We
have one en-suite double, one double, and one twin room with private
bath. (The en-suite double is suitable for guests with mobility
problems).
A
hearty Yorkshire breakfast is served in our beautiful conservatory
where you can’t help but feel at peace in such lovely surroundings.
There is an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants nearby and
we are happy to fill flasks and provide packed lunches as required.
