At Throstlenest we have six holiday cottages which have been converted from two stone barns. All have a glorious south facing aspect and an unspoilt panoramic view over Wensleydale to Middleham, Witton Fell, Penhill and as far as the high fells of Coverdale.

At the cottages you can enjoy a rural environment, yet the bustling market town of Leyburn is only half a mile away. There you can find a wide range of shops, restaurants, public houses and all amenities, including access to public transport.

The cottages are on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, providing an ideal base for discovering this beautiful area. You can choose to explore the picturesque villages and market towns, the idyllic dales with their rivers and waterfalls or the wide open fells with curlews and lapwings as your companions.

The area has a wealth of castles, abbeys, gardens, markets and museums to visit, and the historic towns of Richmond, Harrogate, Ripon and York are all easily accessible by car - or you could take one of our relaxing sightseeing tours to explore the Dales and beyond.
