Village Farm Holidays offers a self-catering holiday cottage in the village of Newton on Ouse near York, with English Tourism Council 4 Star grading.

Newton on Ouse is a picturesque and peaceful village about 5 miles from the York ring road heading north towards Thirsk and some 5 miles south of Easingwold.

The cottage is a former farm building that is spacious and furnished to a high standard. It is a single storey accommodation and is suitable for accompanied people with special needs.

Gas central heating, electric power, hand, bath and tea towels are provided and included in the rent. Colour televisions incorporate a video. Washing machine, microwave, fridge with freezer and electric cooker, midi hi-fi system, iron, filter coffee machine are among the equipment.

• The cottage has one double and one twin bedroom. Pillows, duvets with covers and bed linen are included in the rent
• The spacious lounge has cottage suites and there is a separate dining area
• The bathroom has a shower cubicle, bath, toilet, wash basin

2010 Prices:

There are 2 public houses in Newton on Ouse. The Dawney Arms has a riverside situation and offers an excellent menu to cover all tastes in either the bar or restaurant. The Blacksmith's Arms provides traditional pub food and on Sundays a traditional lunch between 12 and 2 pm. A public telephone is situated next to the Blacksmith's Arms.
