Terms and Conditions of Hire for Weekend / Holiday Groups

Please note that the Confluence Centre is NOT a bunk barn but is considerably more up-market and furnished to a high standard. It is not to be hired as a young persons "party venue" and we do not wish to accommodate loud or drunken groups of people. The centre is owned and managed by a family who reside in an adjoining  building and we would kindly ask that noise is kept at a respectable level and that behaviour is in keeping with this quiet and relaxing Yorkshire Dales establishment.

Deposits are required within ten days of a booking being accepted. The non returnable deposit is £200 for bookings up to £700 and £250 for bookings over this amount. Failure to return the deposit and completed booking form within ten days will result in the booking being lost.

The balance outstanding is payable one calendar month prior to the date of your stay and failure to comply will result in your booking and deposit being lost with the dates being re-advertised.   

New groups and groups containing children under 16yrs will be required to provide a returnable cash damage deposit of £150 on their arrival. This will be returned within one week of departure provided the centre is left clean, tidy and undamaged.

If a cancellation is made within one month of your stay you will be liable to pay the whole amount outstanding.

We do not permit more than 18 persons to use / hire the centre and associated grounds and there must be no more than 6 well behaved children, (under 16yrs) in the group. We would kindly ask that children are supervised at all times during their stay. 

We do not accept bookings from or for persons under the age of 25 or for single sex, hen, stag, 18th, 21st birthday or wedding parties. We do not normally accept youth group visits unless nationally recognised and accompanied by qualified leaders.

Arrival and departure times are 5.00pm and 11.00am respectively. (Later departures can be pre-arranged at a cost of £20 per hour). 

Upon arrival you will be met by the owners who will give you a "health and safety" tour of the building and provide you with relevant keys.

Linen - you will need to bring a single sheet and duvet cover for each bed used. These however can be hired at a cost of £3.50 per person.

Dogs / Pets are strictly not allowed at the centre / grounds or within vehicles therein.

Smoking is strictly not permitted and we would ask you not to use candles, fireworks, party confetti or silly string. Please do not move centre furniture (tables, chairs, beds)  without prior arrangement.

We are unable to accept motor homes, caravans and tents at the centre or grounds.

The centre should be left clean and tidy after use and the person booking the centre will be held liable for any damage sustained during the group stay.   

Groups breaching any of the above terms and conditions may be asked to leave the centre at any time without recourse to monies paid for the stay.

Groups and individuals visiting / using the centre do so at their own risk. The owners cannot accept responsibility for injuries to visitors or loss or damage to vehicles or property whilst on the premises or associated grounds. Your payment is received as confirmation that you and your group agree to these terms and conditions.
