Terms and Conditions of hire for Weekend / Holiday Groups

Please note that the Confluence Centre is NOT a "party venue" and we do not wish to accommodate noisy or drunken groups of people. The centre manager resides in an adjoining building for your safety / assistance and to ensure that the terms and conditions are adhered to.

Deposits are required within ten days of an initial verbal / email booking being accepted. The non returnable deposit is £200 for bookings up to £700 and £250 for bookings over this amount. Failure to return the deposit and completed booking form within ten days will result in the booking being lost.

The balance outstanding is payable 4 weeks prior to the date of your stay and failure to comply will result in your booking and deposit being lost. New groups will be required to provide a returnable damage deposit of £150 on their arrival, (cash or cheque). This will be returned within one week of departure provided the centre is left clean / tidy and undamaged.

If a cancellation is made within 4 weeks of your stay you will be liable to pay the whole amount outstanding.

We do not permit more than 18 persons to use / hire the centre and associated grounds and there must be no more than 5 well behaved children, (under 12) in the group. 

We do not normally accept youth group visits unless nationally recognised and accompanied by qualified leaders. We do not accept bookings from / for persons under the age of 21 or for single sex groups.

Arrival and departure times are 5.00pm and 11.00am respectively.

Upon arrival you will be met by the resident centre manager who will give you a "health and safety" tour of the building and provide you with relevant keys.

Linen - you will need to bring a single sheet and duvet cover for each bed used. These however can be hired at a cost of £2.50 per person.

Pets of any description are not allowed at the centre or grounds.

Smoking and the use of candles, fireworks and silly string is not permitted. The moving of centre furniture is not to be undertaken without prior agreement.

Motor homes / camper vans and tents are not permitted at the centre or grounds.

The centre should be left clean and tidy after use and the person booking the centre will be held liable for any damage sustained during the group stay.

Groups breaching any of the above terms and conditions may be asked to leave the centre without recourse to monies paid for the stay.

Groups and individuals visiting / using the centre do so at their own risk. The owners cannot accept responsibility for injuries to visitors or loss or damage to vehicles or property whilst on the premises or associated grounds. Your payment is received as confirmation that you agree to these said terms and conditions.
