From Thirsk take the A170 Scarborough Road. Two miles out of Thirsk turn right, follow road to Kilburn. Turn right at T junction in village. Centre is on your right.

Treske's Visitor Centre with Cafe and smart new Gift Shop opened in 1995. See how wood is grown and naturally seasoned, Tour an instructive exhibition on modem cabinet-making and try your skills. Explore our beautiful old building and see all that is done here. There are 9 showrooms of finished furniture including a fitted kitchen and bedroom and a fabric room.

GLASS
Tim and Maureen Simon welcome you to their informative demonstration. A selection of their highly collectable unique glass is available in the shop; from wine glasses and paper weights to lampshades.

POTTERY
At Masham Pottery, Howard Charles produces a range of hand thrown domestic and decorative stoneware individually produced with distinctive designs. Also displayed is a large selection of Indian clothing, Jewellery, gifts and crafts.

At the Visitors Centre in Masham you can enjoy audio-visual presentations of our brewery and cooperage, you can discover how traditional cask ale is brewed, the ancient skills of the cooper and browse in our gift shop.

Music lovers and folk with a mere passing interest will be fascinated by a visit to the unique Violin Making Workshop. Work the soundwave machine, visit Stradivari's workshop and watch a traditional craftsman at work. Also video, "hands-on" displays and small gift shop.

Tea-lovers and pottery enthusiasts will be inspired by a visit to the Teapottery, a unique pottery specialising in hand-made, collectable teapots, which are exported all over the world.
The making-process can be viewed from a walkway with information points, and the showroom/shop stocks teapots, seconds, teaphernalia and refreshments.

You are welcome to the Old Water Mill where Mick, Jennie & Rachel make dipped or cast candles from Beeswax & Paraffin wax using unusual equipment designed and made by Mick. Our candles come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colours, plain or perfumed.

Yorkshire Flowerpots produces a whole range of quality terracotta gardenware, using about half a ton of clay in making of up to 500 decorative pots a day.
Come and see the various stages of production from the lump of crude clay on the potter's wheel to the intricately embossed and garlanded planter.

Part of the fascination of watching traditional ropemaking is the satisfaction of seeing the complete process, in which many thin strands of yarn are rapidly twisted into a strong rope. We make church bell ropes, bannister and barrier ropes, clothes lines, skipping ropes and dog leads.
Visitors are welcome to watch ropes being made and look around our well-stocked shop. Admission is free.

Our delicious rainbow trout are reared in natural spring water which flows from the hillside above Kilnsey Park and which also supplies the various water-based leisure activities including trout feeding, fly-fishing and children's fun fishing.

Taste the natural fruits of the countryside with our traditional fruits wines, produced in the vaulted cellars of a 19th century flax mill.
