National Trust owned Braithwaite Hall is a 17th Century Farmhouse, offering luxury bed and breakfast accommodation and self-catering apartment on a working hill farm situated in the lower reaches of Coverdale, bordering on Wensleydale. The farm is located along a single track lane outside East Witton with plenty of parking.

Free fishing and other local activities
Braithwaite Hall is ideally situated for walking, cycling and exploring the famous Yorkshire Dales, with footpaths going through and around the farm. Free fishing on the river Cover is available during your stay with us. Visit Dales market towns of Hawes, Leyburn, Richmond, and Masham or natural attractions of Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Trail, Aysgarth Falls and Thorpe Perrow Arboretum. Have a day out at the races at the Ripon or Catterick Races, play golf at Richmond and Bedale or take a day trip to historic York, Jervaulx Abbey and Newby Hall.

Braithwaite Hall offers elegant bedrooms including a King size four poster oak panelled room with en-suite shower facilities. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TV with free view, hairdryer, bathrobes. There is a splendid oak panelled drawing room with a large open fireplace where guests can watch TV or just sit and relax and take in the ambiance. Full English breakfast is served every morning in the dining room, using only locally sourced Masham award winning sausages, bacon, eggs from our own hens, and bread & preserves are all home made. Breakfast also includes cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts.

A self catering apartment is available to book throughout year.
