Settle is a historic market town set in spectacular limestone scenery locally, including one of the largest northern outcrops of limestone pavements and gritstone moorland. Thousands of visitors come to the area every year to explore spectacular caves, waterfalls, potholes and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent. Enjoy dramatic Malham Cove, or the Settle Loop a 10 mile (16km) section of the Pennine Bridleway with great views over the Southern Dales. Nearby more Walking or Cycle in the Forest of Bowland area of outstanding natural beauty where the Gisburn mountain bike trails are located.
