There is much to see and do locally for walkers, cyclists and those just wanting to explore and experience the Dales. Malham Cove and Tarn, Janets Foss and Goredale Scar are not only beautiful places to walk and picnic, but they are of scientific interest with their limestone landscape. Also worth visiting is Bolton Abbey with ancient monastery and over 80 miles of footpaths, Skipton with its medieval castle and Settle with its Settle Carlisle railway.
